Astrid Bowlby, a Visiting Critic in the Certificate/BFA program has been selected amongst a few other artists to be acquired by the West Collection for the West Collects 2012.

On May 11, the renowned painter, printmaker and public sculptor Audrey Flack will deliver the Commencement address at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), and at that time will also be awarded an honorary doctorate degree.

The Joan Mitchell Foundation has announced the twenty-five recipients of its 2011 grant program for painters and sculptors. Each winner, chosen by artists, curators, and arts educators via a jury review, will receive $25,000.
We are proud to announce the addition of two new interdisciplinary specializations of Contemporary Realism and Fine Arts Illustration as part of our existing majors in painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. Starting in the fall of 2012, the new programs will encourage cross disciplinary study and the acquisition of professional expertise in realist representational artmaking techniques and in fine arts illustration.
