Renee P. Foulks
Appointed Faculty–Full Professor, Cert/BFA/MFA/Continuing Ed
Renee P. Foulks has exhibited her paintings and drawings extensively throughout the United States, and her work is represented in museum, college, corporate and private collections. Solo and group shows include venues such as the PAFA Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Delaware Art Museum and the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA. Her most recent solo and group exhibitions in New York have been with Hirschl and Adler Modern, and she maintains a close relationship locally with Artist's House Gallery.
Renee received a BFA in Illustration from Moore College of Art and Design in 1980 and continued to study painting and drawing at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, where she received an MFA in 1982. She began her teaching career immediately after graduation as a full-time instructor and artist-in-residence at Keystone College, La Plume, PA. Her commitment to education includes 20 years at the University of the Arts (Foundation and Illustration) and over 20 years at PAFA.
Renee teaches courses in Life Painting, Portrait Painting, Narrative and Sequential Drawing, and is a Critic in the Certificate/BFA Program. She teaches courses in Painting, Drawing/Media and is a Critic in the MFA program. Renee also teaches courses in Continuing Education.
