Steven Nocella received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts). He has had many solo shows, as well as participated in numerous group shows at exhibition venues such as the My House Gallery, Drexel University, the Highwire Gallery, the Sande Webster Gallery, The Peng Gallery, Rowan University Westby Art Gallery, PAFA, the University of the Arts and the Philadelphia Art Alliance. His work is included in various private collections.
Nocella is a Master Lecturer at the University of the Arts. Recent grants include a Henry Smith Faculty Development Grant and a Drexel Green Grant. He continues to work in a diverse range of materials such as stone, metal, concrete, paper and found objects.
Nocella teaches courses in Stone Carving and Introduction to Sculpture and is a Critic in the Certificate/BFA program. He also teaches in the Continuing Education program.
